La Piña Ta' Dulce, Santiago
There's something about live music that makes me feel some type of way, and watching people sing is always an experience for me. This is why I had been eagerly wanting to go to La piña ta’ dulce since I heard of it and I am glad to say I was not disappointed. Actually, far from it. Everything from the audience and the performers to the overall vibe was so refreshing and different from what we always see in this city.
Plus, pineapple is my favorite fruit.
Every Thursday in Santiago there’s now a get together to jam some music, have some drinks and enjoy an atmosphere filled with people looking to have fun and also support local talent. The interaction between the audience and the performers, that feeling of complicity, with varied types of people and personalities connecting over the same thing, it proves to me, once again, that when people do what they love, it just shows.
What I liked the most about this event and venue is that it immediately feels like you’re with a group of good friends at a bar when suddenly one of them starts playing the guitar, the other one plays the percussion and another one grabs the violin, and the outcome is something not only beautiful but super interesting.
In terms of ambiance, space makes you feel comfortable right from the start and the decoration is really eclectic with different types of tables, chairs, and sofas so there is really something for everyone. When you get to the bar it literally looks like a friend’s kitchen - it even has a white fridge like the one you can find in almost any house here in DR, and the walls are filled with dreamcatchers. How cool is that?
The venue is located in street Benito Monción, a pedestrian cobblestone street that really complements the vibe of the place. The food options include an array of vegetarian options and you can also enjoy local and imported beers and various types of drinks, all at a really fair price.
La piña ta’ dulce is an open invitation to do something different, relax and go home inspired, and perhaps even like me, just more alive. So the next time you are looking for something new to do, you’ve got no excuses. This might be just what you were looking for.
Hay algo tan especial en la música en vivo que me hace sentir un no sé qué en mi interior, además de que ver a alguien cantando para mí siempre una experiencia. Es por esto y más que había estado deseando ansiosamente ir a este evento llamado La piña ta’ dulce y me alegra informar que no me decepcionó. Todo desde la audiencia a los artistas y el ambiente es tan refrescante y diferente a lo que siempre vemos en esta ciudad.
Además, la piña es mi fruta favorita.
Todos los jueves en Santiago hay una lugar para improvisar música, tomar unos tragos y disfrutar de un ambiente lleno de gente que busca divertirse y también apoyar talentos locales. La interacción entre la audiencia y los intérpretes, ese sentimiento de complicidad con muchos tipos de personas y personalidades que se conectan demuestra una vez más que cuando las personas hacen lo que aman, se nota.
Lo que más me gustó del evento y del lugar es que se siente como si estuvieras con un grupo de buenos amigos en un bar y algunos de ellos simplemente se levantan y comienzan a tocar y cantar. Uno puede agarrar la guitarra, el otro la percusión y otro el violín y el resultado no es solamente hermoso, sino que también super interesante.
En términos de ambiente, el espacio te hace sentir cómodx desde que entras y la decoración es realmente ecléctica con diferentes tipos de mesas, sillas y sofás, así que hay realmente algo para todo el mundo. Cuando llegas al bar, literalmente se parece a la cocina de un amigo - incluso tiene una nevera blanca como la que puedes encontrar en casi cualquier casa aquí en RD y las paredes están llenas de atrapa sueños. ¿Qué cool, no?
El local está localizado en la calle Benito Monción, la cual es es una calle peatonal con adoquines que complementan la vibra del lugar. El menú ofrece diferentes tipos de comida, con una gran variedad de opciones vegetarianas, y también puedes disfrutar de cervezas, locales e importadas, y diferentes tipos de tragos a un precio muy razonable.
‘La piña ta’ dulce es una invitación abierta para hacer algo diferente, relajarte e irte a casa un poco más inspiradx, o como en mi caso, sintiéndote hasta un poco más vivx. Así que la próxima vez que busques algo nuevo que hacer, no tienes excusas ya que este evento podría ser justo lo que estabas buscando.
