Happy 2015! / Feliz 2015!

Happy New Years everyone! Isn’t it intoxicating how happy people tend to be on New Years Eve? Some people look dashing, others are cleaning their rooms and getting rid of old things, but my ultimate favorite is now going on Facebook and Instagram and seeing the people I care about and follow share their gratefulness, their hopes and their dreams for this new year.

I happen to love social media and I firmly believe it will continue to change the way we live more than it already has. It allows us to keep our loved ones close and updated, it enables communication among people that otherwise would have never met with something as simple as a #NYE hashtag and it is able to create an unique community. Don’t get me wrong, social media has indeed its problems and dangers but I rather focus on what it is doing for me and most likely for you too since you are reading this post and spending a considerable amount of time on social media platforms.

I hope this year you do something that scares you often and see what happens. It tends to be freaking awesome most of the time you do.

Feliz Año Nuevo a todos! No es genial ver lo feliz que la gente suele ser en la víspera del nuevo año? Algunos se ven elegantes y hermosos para la fiesta, otros están limpiando sus habitaciones y deshaciéndose de cosas viejas, pero mi favorita es entrar a Facebook e Instagram y ver a mis seres queridos y personas que sigo compartiendo su gratitud, sus deseos y sus sueños para este nuevo año.

Personalmente adoro las redes sociales y firmemente creo que seguirán cambiando nuestras vidas todavía más de lo que ya lo han hecho. Estas nos permiten mantener cerca y al tanto a nuestros seres queridos, nos permite comunicarnos con personas que de ninguna otra manera hubiésemos podido interactuar con algo tan simple como un #2015 hashtag y más que nada nos permite crear comunidades muy especiales. Claro que entiendo que las redes sociales tienen sus problemas y sus peligros pero yo prefiero concentrarme en todo lo que ya hacen por mi y probablemente por ti ya que estas leyendo esta publicación y pasas mucho tiempo en sus diferentes plataformas.

Espero que este año hagas algo que te asuste a menudo y veas que pasa. Tiende a ser genial la mayoría de las veces que te atreves.
